8. RORSCHACH

Language: Malayalam

Genre: Psychological Thriller

Rorschach is, at its core, a simple revenge thriller. However, the intricate layers added to the story results in to a genre-bending cinematic experience. The film is technically sophisticated, and the sound design and cinematography contribute significantly to the eerie and convoluted storytelling. The formidable presence of Mammooty, as well as the intriguing performances of the other cast members, adds entirely new dimensions to the narrative and their gray shaded characters.

In terms of storytelling, the director chooses the less travelled path, and he succeeds to a large extent in bringing up a nuanced style. However, the storyline eventually starts to get so muddled that it becomes difficult for the audience to gain clarity about the proceedings, which may not be ideal for typical moviegoers. Or it might be seen as the inspiration behind the film's title, "Rorschach," which refers to the renowned projective test known for providing its subjects with ambiguous images. And yeah, the movie is open for multiple interpretations and multiple explanations. Be attentive and have the joy of connecting the dots and missing links at your terms to create a coherent picture

My opinion- Good.
