17. AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER

Language: ENGLISH

Genre: SCI-FI

The long-awaited sequel to the 2009 box office hit Avatar, Avatar: The way of water, introduces us to the uncharted territory and inhabitants of Pandora. The movie focuses mainly on the protagonist James Sully and his struggles to keep up his family against the impending threat from the sky people . Without a doubt, Way of Water is an orgasmic experience for the eyes and nothing less than a visual spectacle. It is without a doubt the best CGI anyone has seen to this point.

Cameroon has thoughtfully envisioned the world-building, its underlying spiritual arc, and nature's unfathomable connection with the lives of the Navi people with the same zeal as was shown for the visual effects. In addition, in Way of Water, James Cameroon explores the difficulties of being a refugee, as well as the lingering threat of colonisation, which was discussed in the first instalment.

However, the screenplay of Way of Water is where it falls short. It is largely predictable and flat. It falls short of the first installment's level of excitement, and the big plot hole in the climax is, to be honest, a little annoying. There are many questions that have been left unanswered, so the answer may be found in the upcoming instalments.

So if you ask me whether Way of Water is a great movie; my answer would be " Well, its an average movie in a story POV ; but don't even think of missing it from big screens as you will be missing a hell of a theatrical experience ". Catch it on the best screen in your town.

My Opinion: Good
